Our most recent vote finished today and this is the changes that is has brought to Archon:
- Yuriko, the Tiger’s Shadow is now legal as a Commander in Archon.
- Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful and Esior, Wardwing Familiar are banned as Partner Pairing in Archon
These changes apply on 17th Nov. 2025, 12:00 CEST
Individual Breakdown
Yuriko, the Tiger’s Shadow
Of the 82 votes cast to decide whether Yuriko should be legal as a Commander in Archon, 58 were in favour (71%), 22 against (27%), and 2 were blank (2%).
Contamination
Of the 81 votes cast to decide whether Contamination should be banned in Archon, 27 were in favour (33%), 49 against (60%), and 5 were blank (6%).
Yoshimaru and Esior
Of the 81 votes cast to decide whether Yoshimaru and Esior should be banned as Partner Pairing in Archon, 50 were in favour (62%), 26 against (32%), and 5 were blank (6%).
Yoshimaru and Tymna
Of the 81 votes cast to decide whether Yoshimaru and Tymna, the Weaver should be banned as Partner Pairing in Archon, 37 were in favour (46%), 37 against (46%), and 7 were blank (9%).
Follow Up
As you might have seen in the detailed results, the vote on Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful and Tymna, the Weaver has been especially close, with neither in Favor (46%) nor Against (46%) receiving a majority in votes.
This special case actually triggers the following case in our voting process (see https://archon.page/about/):
“There are three options in a regular vote. Against, in favour and blank. Any vote that does not reach either more than half of positive votes or more than half of negative votes will be automatically held again two months after the day when the results are released, this time without the option to a blank vote.”
Thus, there will be a second vote on Yoshimaru & Tymna in two months time without the possibility to choose “Blank”. This will also, by extension, be a vote on Yoshimaru’s legality as a partner pairing overall, as he claimed his second “Banned as Partner Pairing” today.
